Sometimes, it’s entertaining and enlightening to find out about which musicians worked with whom. Some careers are so varied and intertwined it’s amazing tracing all the links. Especially when you start seeing who gave whom their first break, of who poached musicians from other bands and so forth.
the Yardbirds comes to mind immediately. Duanne Alman and Derrick and the Dominoes, John Lennon responding to the question "Is Ringo the best drummer for the Beatles?" Of which he responded, "I'm not sure that Ringo is the best drummer in the Beatles." Even Since I've Been Loving You was nicked by Led Zeppelin from Moby Grape. Steve Vai started his career with Frank Zappa as a touring musician. Not sure if he ever recorded with him

They used to get so pissed off when people asked them about the bee girl.
that first record is great, the second one "Soup" not so much. Shannon Hoon grew up in Indianna with Bill Bailey (1 W. Axl Rose), that's why he's on Don't Cry. It's sad he died so young. Drugs will kill you...eventually. A friend stopped by on Friday and we were talking about how many people we knew that are dead, 10 off the top of our heads

“Hungry Heart” by Bruce Springsteen was originally written for the Ramones. Springsteen chose to record it for himself in advice of his manager/producer because, at that point, he had a history of writing some big hits… for other people. It became his first big hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
It's always interesting to learn this stuff but I think music is better when it is shrouded in mystery. Led Zeppelin was notorious for not giving interviews. Who played the guitar solo on Sympathy for the Devil? Some say its Keith Richards, others say its Jimmy Page, again its said it is the guitarist from Vanilla Fudge...

The key is you need a back-up sump pump. I'm right with you, it's not if but when, so I put in a gravity fed back-up pump to work when they cut off the electricity, they always do. I'm glad I haveen't found out how well it works but it gives piece of mind. I'll upload my drawings and a video of some jackwagon trying to drive through 4 feet of water and me and my laughing at him as he stalled out in front of my house. Right then, I think its in the video, we closed the door, yeah they arent coming in here. Theres a whole channel based on that...Investigate Discovery
This is based on a well style sump but Im sure you can get ideas.

Today I learned...

A picture is only worth 1000 words to who took it or those in it, otherwise in most cases its just a picture. It can't tell its own story
