The favourite stories of the old has-beens and the never-was. Just like fishermens tales, but for "athletes" where the truth is stretched.. ;)
I was speaking in the more generic first person in my post because while I was always a good technical rider, i was never anything that could be classed as fast. Surprisingly, however, I managed to be faster than many trackday riders who called themselves fast. Funny how that works.

"I was leaned over so far that I was dragging elbow!"

"I know. You were sideways across my path and I couldn't pass you, safely, so I slowed down."

Cool. Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't implying anything. I know/knew a lot of genuinely fast riders. One was a young girl I helped introduce to the track who was a natural, fearless, and could have been at least a mid-level pro in Canada, if she wasn't already tied to horseback riding.
