TIL that classic Adam West Batman once did a crossover episode with Bruce Lee's Green Hornet.

I watched both shows when I was a kid and the crossover episodes were some of the best, for me. I think they were just trying to prop up the ratings of "The Green Hornet", but I didn't care :D

I keep imagining what the show would have been like if Bruce Lee had gotten the role of Kwai Chang Caine when he was up for it.

Worcester has Orson the Polar Beverages bear on the rooftop. I remember it being stolen a few times over the years and once being found in Providence in a college dorm room.

Especially when you consider there’s evidence that he pitched the idea of The Warrior (an Asian martial artist in the American Old West) to studios first, got turned down, only to see many of his ideas used in Kung Fu a year later.

TIL- literally- that Jains are lacto-vegetarians, and because of their extreme commitment to non-violence, they will not eat root veggies.

This came up because a second (yes, second) Indian owned pizzeria opened in our neighborhood, and there’s a large section of the menu that is based on Jain cuisine. Each such section notes “(No onion/garlic)”.
Hemant Mehta of The Friendly Atheist podcast/blog is from a Jain family. He's still a vegetarian even though he no longer shares his family's faith. He talks about it from time to time.

I've also heard some for extreme adherents would wear masks and sweep the ground in front of themselves to avoid harming insects.

Today I learned antidepressants may be just as effective as placebo. Hearing this depressed me. I was already feeling down. This news made me feel worse. I know I feel better on my antidepressant than I do off of it. Now I'm concerned it could just be placebo effect. 😕

Today I learned or this morning I should say, I learned life can be terrifying...Eat the gun, leave the Cannoli...its the Alec Guiness half-Cannoli-half-massager" that really makes today terrifying. Someone sent me that at 5AM, the nerve of some people...

What does it matter if its placebo or not if it works? That reminds me that I need to take my Xanax. For about 10 years, starting in 2010ish, I used to get horrible anxiety and panic attacks. They started after I was put on a course of Prednisone, and they never went away. I filed for permanent disability in 2019, which I got in 2022. Since then my episodes have been few and far between. Take life one step, minute, hour/encounter and day at a time. Don't worry about the "What If's". Just my advice, I'm not a doctor but I've been there

I forgot to say I hope you feel better.

I could be wrong but think this song is appropriate, music always made me feel....
