Spoilers The Pitt on Max

Just started watching this, and it's good so far. Before I dived into who was behind it, I was like "oh updated remake of ER" which would be accurate given that John Wells is behind the camera with Noah Wyle. I totally thought one of the actresses was Linda Cardellini who played Samantha Taggart in ER, but no my brain just doesn't like me instead. It's up to 3 episodes out of 15. Each episode covers an hour of the shift.

I thought this looked good, but I like to wait until all the episodes are out before I binge it. I did like him in that aliens show, what 10 years ago now?

Noah is killing it here. It's not like he was ever bad, but this show highlights how his acting talents have grown as he's aged.

I didn't like it for the first 15 minutes or so, with the expected attitude of "Bah, this is just ER with modern grit and swearing" - and it IS - but as it goes on, I feel that all those things come together "in a good way".

I tried watching New Amsterdam when it first came out but as time went on it got too preachy for me to keep watching, this one however hits all the right notes for me.

I once owned all 15 seasons of ER on dvd, and I tried rewatching it but for me it fell victim to science/tech moves on, so now I currently only own seasons 1 and 2.

My understanding is that the original intent was an ER reboot/continuation, but that idea got shot down.

I hope the "24 meets ER" format gives them some good narrative opportunities. I am not currently subscribed to MAX, so I won't be picking this up just yet.

That's good to hear. His recent runs on The Librarians and Leverage: Redemption were entertaining, but not exactly heavy-lifting on the acting skills.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting it to be an adaptation of the image comic.
