Paul Farquhar
Legend
It’s mildly entertaining, but it’s a bit too derivative to be properly gripping.
I have to say, if Disney and LucasArts are going to trot out a space pirate, they did pick a name with a long Star Warsian pedigree. Issue #7 of Marvel's original adaptation of the Star Wars movie and further adventures, to be exact. So... 1978-ish.Uh, he went by "Crimson Jack".
Yes. He goes by Captain Silvo and Crimson Jack. Not “Long Jod Silvo” or whatever. When he's in the droid shop and his parrot-headed buddy catches up with him, he calls him Captain Silvo.
I'm enjoying this far more than I expected to. It's not high art, but it is fun. The kids are not annoying, the mystery around the planet is suitably intriguing, the action sequences are well done, the thing looks gorgeous (and in that good Star Wars 'lived in' way). I was worried it would be too kiddy for me, but while it stars some kids, it's not childish. I look forward to it each week.
Long John is also referred to as “”Captain Silver” by the pirates in Treasure Island, which sounds almost identical.Yes. He goes by Captain Silvo and Crimson Jack. Not “Long Jod Silvo” or whatever.
Non chud/grifter positive review for E3.
They showed the directors of each episode at the end.

The Daniels directed next week’s episode?
That’s going to be interesting!
