Yeah. There's some dystopian stuff being set up here. I'm not sure exactly how it will play out, but Homelander is pretty much in charge right now. He's now set his eyes on the CIA as an enemy. And obviously the show plans to make a supe president of America. I think we're headed towards a superocracy. They're moving chess pieces right now... I think the season will end on a cliffhanger with s6 being a rebellion against Homelander who pretty much rules at that point. He might even be president, but I'm not so sure about that.

But I could be wrong.

They announced that Season 5 was supposed to be the last season of "The Boys" so they're either going to burn the setting to the ground, or continue in something like "Gen V."

I think @Morrus meant season 5, not 6. I know it's hard to keep track sometimes.

I could possibly see the end of The Boys being Homelander fully cracking and embracing the role of god-tyrant. Then spinoffs like Gen V could have him as an ominous offscreen threat.

That's not how I actually see the show going, but I could buy that as a compelling story.
