Looking forward to this week's epis9de. Last week's one was more mediocre than bad relative to the first two.

Thinking about it more extra detail around the witches would gave been nice. Are they Dathomir? Don't know. What are their beliefs beyond different names don't know.

Dathomir witches turned up 1994, other force traditions 1992 (Tyria force adept) if not earlier. Different takes on the force or names don't bother me. By the mid 90s we had multiple versions.

I don't recall anything that really breaks tge like. The force is being presented more along he lines of magic. Creating life seems more light side to me. Not my personal cup of tea but it's better than using force storms or lightning on fleets or blowing up planets with the force.

With only 8 episodes doing a prequel episode only 3 deep care dactir is low. Here's a new force tradition potentially interesting not explained and all dead by the episodes end about characters I don't care about. And they're gone.

So either literally every single Jedi in this scene dies or the "Sith" is established by the Jedi to be one of the witches. Because this person looks at least as conspicuously Sith-y as Darth Maul.

Equivalent these days would be someone in medieval armor anbushing park rangers. Perhaps wearing Templar insignia vs a lightsaber.

See how it plays out. Yoda knew something others did not.

I'm guessing it got buried.

Mundi: No Sith in a 1000 years…

Except for that time 100 years ago where I saw one because they retconned me to be alive so I can be proven to be an idiot.

They just do whatever they want because of “reasons.”

At this stage, I’d prefer to see a RiffTraxs version.

We knew Mundi was wrong 25 years ago. That's the context of his comment in TPM.

Yoda also knew something.

So no real reason tbf.

Same episode Venestra may not be the most reliable Jedi reporting to the council.

OK I'm all caught up now. There's no way that fire killed all those witches. Something fishy is going on there.

And my money is currently on Qimir being Mae's master but it's so obvious at this point that perhaps it can't be him.

Looking forward to the inevitable showdown next week.

Yeah, the Sith guy's helmet looks a bit like Kylo Ren's, but it also has a sort of primitive, feral vibe about it. I dig it.

Venestra could tell just from a holo of Mae's movements in combat that she'd been trained by a Jedi. So either she's totally suss, or this master is a Jedi in Sith's clothing.
