I voted 'other' but my vote is for Gerrald Tarrant from the Coldfire Trilogy!

The poll choices were good, but I am lame and am not familiar with them all, could someone post the books they came from?

Sure, but since most of the series are named after the title character it might not help too much. :D It'll get you the authors anyway...

Conan the Cimerrian - Robert E. Howard's Conan series.

Elric of Melnibone - Michael Moorcock's Elric series, starting oddly enough with Elric of Melnibone

The Waylander - Um...David Gemmel, I think? Not familiar with him.

Kane - Karl Edward Wagner's Kane series.

Xena - Xena: Warrior Princess, cheesy TV show.

Rand al'Thor - Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series

The Grey Mouser - Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar series

Gandalf - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings

Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books.

OTHER............DRUSS
followed closely by:
WAYLANDER.

Was Kane the one with the Demon Rings, in the evil, perverted city, whose father tried to become possessed by a god, then he fell in love with a girl, she turned out to be a sl*t , he became crazy, and tried to become his father??? Condensed version, I know, but a friend let me read two books in the series, but I couldn't remember the name or author of them!

From the list, I'd choose Gandalf. But other favorites include Aragorn, Boromir (who's portrayal in the film was simply incredible) Tyrion Lannister, Jamie Lannister, Jon Snow, Roland the Gunslinger, Raistlin, The Justicar, Drizzt (yes, Drizzt), Solomon Kane, and Paksenarrion.

To add to the huge list of Others ...

Mat Cauthon and Lan Mandragoran from Wheel of Time
Vlad Taltos, Khaarven of Castlerock, and Sethra Lavode from Brust's Dragaera.
Cailet Ambrai from Rawn's Exiles trilogy.
Croaker, Lady, and Sleepy from Glen Cook's Black Company.
Corwin of Amber.

[1] Note: I respect JRRT for largely creating the genre, and the movie of Fellowship was easily the best fantasy film in a long time, if not ever, but as books... well, I just don't think LotR really stands up well to more modern stuff.
