What Is A Sith/Sith Post RoS?

So The Acolyte has wrapped up and it's ambiguous if one of the characters is a Sith or Dark Jedi. Or ex Jedi using the darkside if one is being picky.

Now a Sith is basically anyone who has been initiated into the Sith order. That means Rule of Two in the post Bane era which came to an end. But things like holocrons and Sith Spirits exist in both legends and canon. Darth Banes spirit (or any other Darth Spirit) could conceivably initiate anyone into a new Sith order. Personally I find the Rule of Two kinda stupid and it's failed just like the previous Sith order.

So conceptually I'm fine with new Sith post Palpatine being created. Next question is should they? How about if they do a time jump? Legends did do this in various ways.

Consider.

1. Non Baneite ancient Sith cut off on a planet (The Tribe in legends) or extra galactic (Vong idea was initially Sith. Canon Ahsoka has gone extra galactic).

2. Sith Spirits refounding the order. Rule of Two or otherwise.

3. Ancient Sith in stasis (carbonate etc).

Could they. Yes it even makes sense at least how. Why well if you have Jedi you kinda need other force users to face them.

Should they? Hmmnn. Thoughts?

Part of me just wants to go back to a time when the Jedi weren't so well defined and they were the peacekeeping guardians of the galaxy. I prefer that to an order bumbling around and separating children from their parents. But that's not going to happen.

If we're going to move forward in a new direction in a post-sequel triology world, then let's just get rid of the Jedi and the Sith entirely. Their stories have already been told, even if they ended in the most unsatisfying way possible. Go with a different brand of force users. I know Star Wars is simple, but have multiple force using groups. Maybe they're not even all evil, they just disagree on how to do some things. But some of them should be evil because Star Wars is that kind of franchise.

Plenty of force traditions to adapt. Jedi/Sith don't have a monopoly.

You can also go no force it's probably harder for casuals and lightsabers are a great visual.

I'm fine with Star Wars stories that don't center around Force users at all, but they're part and parcel of the universe and I don't want to see them removed entirely.

Yeah there's sone popular non force stories but nay be supr expensive to make.

X-Wing type show would require extensive special effects. They're already expensive shows. Andor was very good for another example but lowest rated show apparently.

Andor doesn't feel like a Star Wars series. But then Rogue One didn't feel like a Star Wars movie. They were both pretty good, but just outside the norm for Star Wars.

My thoughts are:
  • Dark Jedi. Basically just a jedi who has fallen to the dark side, they aren't Sith though they could effectively become Sith if they find Sith holocrons or a Sith master who teaches them.
  • New Sith. Basically any force-user indoctrinated in Sith teachings.
  • Darksider. Really anyone who uses the dark side of the force but in general they are neither jedi nor sith. Think of force-users like the nightsister who follow a darkside tradition but are neither jedi nor sith. It could also be a force-user who had no formal training in the force but learned to draw upon it.

Yup and they're the better Disney live action as well.

I'm open for non force stuff tge ace pilot thing is an obvious one.

Pretty much my take on it.
