Preorderers: How much did the giftset REALLY cost?

I am about to preorder the 4e giftset on Amazon. The listed price is $62.97. But what about shipping. I am (regrettably) having my mother purchase it (with my money, but her credit card), so I am wanting to know how much to expect for shipping.

Can anyone tell me their total cost for purchasing the D&D4e giftset form Amazon?

It depends entirely on the shipping method you choose. Since the order will be over $25, it qualifies for free shipping--in that case, the actual final price is $59.82 (You get an additional 5% off the listed price).

To figure up the cost if you use anything other than free shipping, just add the shipping costs to $59.82.

When I had initially ordered from Amazon I ended up getting a price just under the listed price (I think they have some sort of 5% off deal that applies automatically) and super saver shipping (free shipping). Once the order was complete the status of the order said that it wouldnt ship untill the 10th and I wouldnt receive it until the end of June.

Later on someone posted a link on the Wizard forums for 25% off one item from Barnes and Noble. I ended up going that route with free 3 day shipping (status page says it ships the 6th) for only $55.35 (or something along those lines). So far its been the best deal I could find so I am going with that.

When you go to checkout you have your option of several shipping methods. And since it's a preorder you can just modify your shipping preference anytime before it ships.

Shipping for me ranges from $0 (free super saver, USPS mail so it's 5-10 days) to $18 for overnight (but actually expected to be received Monday since UPS doesn't deliver Saturdays). I have the 2-day shipping selected so that I'm pretty much guaranteed to have my hardcopies before my first game on the 13th.

Thanks for the info! I tried this with the coupon, and will be getting it for 8 bucks cheaper ($54.47), and hopefully a few days ealier! By the way, the BN site says the coupon expires June 6, not May 27, as Dealigg states. Nifty!

Thanks,

Well I just pre-ordered mine. Thanks for that coupon, that really did lower the price by quite a lot. With that coupon and a few gift cards I literally just found in a book case I was packing up my total out of pocket was 20.38.

Beat that!

As an alternate, I also just found the core giftset at Walmart.com, although they have it filed under video games. It was around $52-53, plus tax and shipping. I you have it shipped to your local Wal-Mart, there's no charge for shipping and takes about a week.

I'm no longer a Wal-Mart employee, but it's the best price I've found yet.
