Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

OTOH, this criticism applies to huge portions of the reboot. Which has been going with the constant apocalypse style for around 20 years ago now. At a certain point you just have to accept that this is the style of the show.
I disagree, the previous Reboot Doctors had plenty of stories where the world wasn't at stake and the Classic series had plenty of stories where the world or more was at stake.

It just used to be that the smaller stories would outnumber the world at stake ones instead of the world being doomed Every Single Episode.

Except now the most recent Doctor's had the majority of adventures be the world or more at stake. Even when that wasn't necessary, like the Chulder planning to 'cosplay the world to death.'

I am really liking Belinda. We've had companions like Donna who challenge the Doctor before, but one that literally doesn't want to be there and just wants to go home is a fun take. I'm enjoying it.
I agree mightily, and they spot-on cast someone who can really sell that and everything else they're giving her to do. She feels like a real person, who can enjoy the wild fun for a bit here and there, but ultimately it's all just too much. Maybe her work as a nurse has just made her incredibly practical and concerned about real, normal things, and has no time for people who act recklessly, cause problems, and just generally behave like they're the boss.
On one hand, I absolutely agree with this idea. My ideal Who has much more small, contained stories.

I miss the smaller-scale stuff, for which there's more time in a longer season, let alone the Clasic Who several-episode stories.

But long ago, I learned from the James Bond movies that long-running franchises are going to have their ups and downs, and make questionable choices, and you'll occassionally even wonder if it's all worth it! ;)

I thought "Lux" mostly amazing, with fewer head-scratching, shrug-inducing moments than a lot of this new era.

Maybe I just dreamed that.... I thought I saw something that they were talking about rebooting the show after this series. Taking it right back to the beginning. But, my quick google fu search failed to turn up anything, so, maybe it was just something I imagined. Sorry.

Maybe you're thinking of James Bond?

They're mirroring the average nurse's feelings about doctors, in general, in the real world. Bunch of know-it-alls who wouldn't actually know how to change out a bedpan, without dumping it all over themselves.

I thought it was great

Is Mrs Flood an anagram for something?
Dr , Drs, Fool, or in the pond, river, flood nomenclature?!!!

Need to collate the one line she says per episode
An anagram would be right in the RTD2 wheelhouse, and as much sense as it could make to connect her to the Ponds and River, RTD hasn't shown any inclinations to do that kind of thing in this era, that I can think of.

My Youtube feed wants me to watch a bunch of videos from people saying Doctor Who is over and done with, but most of them seem like the kind of people who think it it has become woke and therefore must be consigned to the dustbins of history.

(Doctor Who hasn't become woke. It has always been woke.)
