What makes an TTRPG a "Narrative Game" (Apocalypse World Discussion)

When was it made and when was the "Story Now" thing written?

Edwards said "recently" GNS theory was a mistake he regrets from the Forge days.

GNS was around 2000; the main Narrativism essay was 2003. Apocalypse World came out in 2010.

And GNS was a mistake. The N part was a good mission statement. Fitting everyone into three categories isn't and the S category was a complete mess.

So what really is STORY NOW, if S category was such a mess? I said similar in the DaggerHeart NARRATIVE GAME thread.

What changes does the STORY NOW fix for the S?
Absolutely nothing because Story Now (as cross posted) is the goal of Narrativism, which is where almost all The Forge's major successes were. Simulationism is another category entirely and was a grab bag of things rather than coherent.
