Rika, Elf Fighter 1, 10/10 hp

Rika tries to dismount quickly and fails(7+4=11) taking a move action. "Jakub, would you grab the reins, please" She tosses the reins over to Jakub. (Hopefully a free action) Then she moves closer to the kobolds while drawing her rapier. (Move to D9)

Jack Haggery, Halfling R1/F1, 12/12 hp, AC 19.

Jack deftly weaves through the roadside foliage, loosing an arrow as he comes within the most lethal range of his bow...

Jack moves 20' to D7 and sneak attacks the flat-footed kobold at D13.
Long Bow +6: 1d6 damage, +1d6 sneak attack.

Opale di Senzio, Human W1, 6/6 hp, AC 12

Opale move foward toward the kobold, but stay in the back line. She then let loose a bolt at them.

OOC: Nice map, what do you use to do them?

Hanging in there. Better than the alternative.
Farids smiles, "Time to have fun?" as he readies his weapon and hustles down towards the kobolds.

Move to B12, draw weapon while moving since I don't know if I have it out.

Initiative:

Thanyvan - 20
Jack - 19
Katherine - 16
Jakub
Rika - 13 (Better Dex)
Opale - 13
Planus - 12 (Randomly determined)
Quarion - 12
Veras-Re - 9
Farid - 8
Kobolds

Thanyvan casts his spell, and half of the kobolds are caught in the animating vegetation before they are fully sure what happened, as Jacks' arrow strikes into the nearest kobold (attack roll 17, 6 points of damage). The hit was almost strong enough to knock the kobold off his feet, but it remains standing.
Katherine oratory inspires courage in her comrades, and they are eager to get those scaly humanoids. Jakub, holding the reins he's been passed, gathers a sling, but cannot shoot yet.
Rika and Opale move forward, and Opale's shot hits a kobold (Attack roll 18, 3 points of damage), though it only hits the arm of the kobold.
Planus, quickened by his spell, strides forward, and hits the same kobold, almost knocking it out (Attack roll 21, 3 damage).
Quarion's shot misses by some margin, even though his targets are pretty tied up, but his call gets an answer - Garma should be close by.
Farid and Veras-Re also close in, but don't get close enough to engage in melee yet.*
Four of the kobold try to get to the edges of the entanglement effect with angry jips and hisses.

Ongoing effects:
Entangle: 1/10 rounds
Inspire Courage: C + 5 rounds
Vigor: 1/10 rounds

*(Farid would have had to run if he wanted to reach his destination - I wasn't sure if he would have wanted to do that.)
(For the map, I've used a combination of "unusual" tools - PovRay to create grid and tokens, Gimp to "cut" and place the tokens. The entangle effect was also created with a Gimp filter)

The sounds of battle now joined, Quarion makes yips and snarls, egging the kobolds on and encouraging Garma to run quickly. Though his shot missed, he smiles as the foul creatures are set upon by his friends and lets another arrow go.

Jack Haggery, Halfling R1/F1, 12/12 hp, AC 20.

Jack sends a second arrow after the first to finish off his wounded target. He then tosses his hunting bow aside, draws his slim sword and rushes forward into the center of the kobolds to present himself as a target.

Jack attacks the kobold at D13, then drops his bow and draws his rapier while moving 20' to C11. If opportunity presents itself, he will take the first AoO available.
Long Bow +7: 1d6+1 damage.
Rapier +7: 1d4+1 damage.

Planus continues firing at the foul creatures. He keeps an eye out for any that attempt to run. If any flee, he follows while shooting arrows. Otherwise, he continues firing giving preference to kobolds who are injured and not engaged in melee.

OOC: Attack: +4, Damage 1d8+1 (+1 to both if within 30 ft.)
