It is remarkable just how much I hate seeing a train in D&D.

The problem with trains in D&D is they always lead to railroading.

The thing with trains is that there are so many more creative ways to achieve the basic concept of impersonal transportation system on a fixed route. Like undead giant centipedes that follow a path of runes and which start wandering around eating people if a rune gets stolen.

I think the express here, being from Mechancus a plane full of constructs, makes sense to be a train. It’s also a flying train.
