D20 Modern Wealth and On-Hand Rules in SW?

I was just reading through the article about D20 Modern's Wealth System and On-hand Rules on the WotC website.

Now, I'd have to read through the complete Wealth rules when D20 Modern comes out, but I thought, "What a great idea for a Star Wars game."

Does anyone else see potential for SW Wealth System House Rules, once D20 Modern is released?

Yes, I think it would be an excellent addition.

Frankly, that article made me think that d20 modern sounds like something worth having after all - it sounds like an excellent generic roll playing solution to a problem which plagues mordern and sci-fi games.

That's cool. I wrote up a system like that a couple years back for the d6 Star Wars game. It works pretty well.

Yeah, I think the wealth system might work for SW. I plan on using it for my modern games, since I'm tired of dealing with one of my players who likes to go way to in-depth on his finances. It reminds me of the Resources system from MSH RPG, and while I disagreed with some of the numbers in that one, I liked the basic idea a lot.
