So I'm the only one who hasn't heard the term "zero day" before? I've heard of patient zero, but I think that's different.

This Netflix show needs George Clooney in it.

If you're involved with IT at all you're likely to be familiar with the term.

The precise meaning is a (serious) software vulnerability that is known to the developers but not yet patched, but the actual usage generally means any non-patched software vulnerability, regardless of whether the developers of the software know about it.

A "zero-day attack" or "zero-day exploit" is an attack/exploit developed in secrecy to utilize the unpatched vulnerability.

It's nice to look at George Clooney's face, honestly.

To me, Zero Day is the third book in a trilogy by Ezekiel Boone (the other two being The Hatching and Skitter) about a spider apocalypse. I was a little bummed to find the show has nothing to do with that series. Oh well.
