No drive-thru. It's fast casual, not fast food.
ummmm.....
Not true. While not all Shake Shacks have drive thrus, there are many that do.

I have heard amazing things about them. I look forward to them becoming more common so I can join the chorus.Jollibee. Ain't one within a day trip radius of where I live... but damned if I don't find any excuse to vacation in places that have them.

I'm just one man!Jollibees should be included
Service was fine. Very very greasy and ingredients did not taste fresh or good. Based solely on quality of product, I can think of many other places id rather go. Yes, I have had the food multiple times.Ironically, given your (very unusual) experience, all of the above goes for In-N-Out, too. They pay above market wage and offer health insurance from day one and, most importantly, fully staff their restaurants. There are always more than a dozen folks there, rather than two harried people at many McDonald's. Not surprisingly, that makes for happy staff who do a great job.
Part of the problem with this sort of comparison: there is a lotnof regional variety in restaurants, even big chains.
OK. I have never encountered one that does, but I accept that may be a regional oddity.
This is super-weird, since their big thing is that nothing is ever frozen and much of it is delivered fresh each day. It honestly sounds like you're describing Five Guys.Service was fine. Wow, every part of that (except the grease, admittedly, but I'd put thst under the pro column anyways) is contrary to my experience of In-N-Out.Service was fine. See, every 5 Guys I've had beats the every loving hell out of in and out. This is super-weird, since their big thing is that nothing is ever frozen and much of it is delivered fresh each day. It honestly sounds like you're describing Five Guys.
Well, one less person in the super-long drive-thru line, then.
