What Conversions Shall We Do Next?

What it means is that I haven't had time yet to look at the "Real World" and Psionic threads to see that those are inactive. But we should keep the Psionic Creatures thread open to handle those requests.

BTW, I have some work travel to do in the next week, which means my time on EN World will be somewhat limited. But, given my normal ability to work on conversions these days, you may not notice much difference. :heh:

Shall I start the Cessirid update then, or would you like to wait until we finish another creature?

Okay, I might set out some proposals for the next update of a few monsters we have "in conversion", but I'll try to keep things low-key here for a week.

It's not like I don't have lots of other things I can do to amuse myself.

I saw the Death Linen creatures in an article called "Stupid Monsters somebody was paid to make" o something like that; they were in Dungeon Magazine 76. I need something to drop on my PC's when I need to railroad something.

Death Linen are in Dragon #252 article "Formidable Visitants - The Horrors of M. R. James" by Michael D. Winkle. They're on pages 68-69.

We've converted the Living Hair and Web-Spectre from that article, but never got around to the Killer Pillow and its kin. Those might do as substitutes with a similar "feel".

The Death Linens aren't that tough - 2, 4, or 6 HD, pathetic AC and low damage. They only thing they have going for them are a suffocation attack and either a poison bite (Flannel Beast, Sheet) or a weak sleep imposing ability (Killer Pillow).

Hmm, I never answered this froma while ago. You never did start the cessirids, did you?

I guess we should add the death linens, etc, to the request queue.

I asked about these conversions in the Planescape thread. Cleon suggested that I post my requests here.

I'm preparing to run the Tales from the Infinite Staircase adventure and there are a few monsters in it that I have not found 3.5 conversions for yet. If anyone could convert these, that would be great. This is the order that I'm most interested in getting converted first. But of course, I'll take what I can get.

Kamerel pg. 110
Taker of Life pg. 49
Dark Dweller pg. 50
Valgoss pg. 48
Slaiyith pg. 48
Maturing Baatorian pg. 127
Shard pg. 15
Silver Golem pg. 15

Would you fancy joining in a collaborative conversion of these beasties if I started a thread for it?

Freyar's pretty busy at the moment, so it'd be a long time before you're likely to see any of these if it's left to the two of us.

The more the merrier!

If one of these monsters is easier, we should probably convert that first, so you'll get something to use sooner. ;)

Also, none of these seem to be in Echohawk's index, so maybe he should take a look at them.

I'd guess that the "order that I'm most interested in getting converted first" in the post is the order that Oryan77 was hoping to use them in, so I was thinking we could stick to that.

The Kamerel is the first on that list.

Yes, I noticed that too. The only Staircase monsters on the list are the Hgaun and the Nameless Limbo Thing, both of which we've done conversions of.

There are also other monsters in the book that aren't on Oryan's request list, such as the Lesser Kyton. I'll try to compile a complete list and post it, assuming I can find the time.
