D&D (2024) Unearthed Arcana in City of Greyhawk

Per the DM Screen from the Beadle & Grimm Map Pack, it is a magic item shop run by Morley, a jovial Human Mage who's is actually a disguised Adult Copper Dragon.

I don't think this was established in Greyhawk before, but is a new thing based on a couple old things:
So, that's kinda awesome!!

The first image, the cartoon, is absolutely Morley the Wizard, the mascot for D&D ads and commercials aimed at young kids in the 70s.
The second image didn't really have a name, 'til recently, AFAIK, when in 5e they named him "Thessalar" in Infernal Machine Rebuild.

You're absolutely right, though ... the "Unearthed Arcana" shop wasn't previously in lore. And the building it occupies did not have anything specified for it on previous renditions of the CoG map.

Other than that, though, is there an image or review of the DMs screen or something, where that comes from? We'd love to be able to cite that information for the Great Library of Greyhawk wiki!

Sure, the Beadles & Grimm website has the images up along with the maps, screenshots below, the info looks to me to be certainly straight from the DMG:

Oof. Yeah, I'd seen the spread-out images of the DM's screen, but, I thought perhaps there were better images ... "hoped" is more like it.
I'm gonna have to like find some glasses or something to try to parse all that sem-blurry text!
Thank you, though! Those blown-up/zoomed in images will help!

"Unearthed Arcana - Magic shop- Morley (proprietor, talkative, white-haired, human mage in frayed robes - actually an Adult Copper Dragon), Jallarzi Sallavarian (frequent customer and local esteemed wizard), Otto frequent customer and local esteemed wizard)"

Gonna be a busy couple of weeks, between the DMG and Worlds & Realms.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You have .... nooooooo idea. LOL
Yep, even the little things like "Unearthed Arcana" in the City of Greyhawk, there's going to be so much that must be gone through, finding tidbits and Easter eggs, and parsing it all to compare it to previous lore, and trying to create new articles, pages, and sections throughout the wiki for entirely new lore.

The Worlds & Realms physical book is set to arrive on Oct 29th, and the digital pre-release access of the DMG for "Master Tier" users on DnDBeyond is also Oct 29th!
That's gonna be a busy day!!!
