D&D 5E Twilight Sanctuary Granting Temps to Enemies?

Silentsmith

First Post
Does Twilight Sanctuary channel divinity grant temo hit points to enemies that end their turn within 30 feet (in addition to allies)? The ability states “whenever a creature (including you)” which makes me think it does. I haven’t seen people discussing this when debating the balance of this feature. Thanks!

The full text is :

Whenever a creature (including you) ends its turn in the sphere, you can grant that creature one of these benefits

So it's up to the twilight cleric to affect any creature, or not.

That said, it might be a nice nerf to make it everyone (regardless of what the cleric wants). and have the creature decide what benefit it wants.

Hypothetically, if an enemy is frightened and ends its turn within 30 feet. Would you then have to pick between ending the effect or granting it temps?

Per RAW(rules as written) , you don't have to give it anything.

The cleric CAN not MUST.

That "can grant" is something to remember - the Twilight cleric has to elect to do so. In order for that to happen, they have to be aware the creature is within 30 feet.
