I don't believe in the no-win scenario
My group got so frustrated with the PF2 version, but I'm sure it's a large part based on how unforgiving PF2 is. And the early part of AV has a lot of fights where the PCs are outmatched using the PF2 system.

Also TOO MANY FIVE-FOOT CORRIDORS!

(argh).

Cheers!
I find it to be a poor megadungeon system. Not a bad thing in my book as I dont really like them anyways.

I think it isn't a megadungeon.

Instead, it's designed as a quest dungeon - you're exploring it to complete a quest, not doing expeditions to find what is there.

I was running Castle of the Mad Archmage from Joseph Bloch, and that is far more a megadungeon. No real plot, although you can add in subquests, but just LOTS AND LOTS OF PLACES TO EXPLORE!

Cheers,
Merric

Maaaybe? I was always told it was a megadungeon becasue its the same place and you can go wherever in that one place for the entire campaign. I never knew that having a metaplot made it not a megadungeon. Either way im still not sold.

Paizo should have just released the 5e version of Abomination Vaults, which is hailed as a great adventure path. The compiled Kingmaker adventure path for PF 2e has a 5e Bestiary, which gives you all the stats you need.

Mr. Tarrasque has a lot of good things to say about Scarlet Citadel. He's a Kobold Press fanboy, but his love of the adventure seems genuine. He has a few videos on it.

I've heard good things about Dungeons of Drakkenheim as well. I'd love to play it.

I believe Abomination Vaults has been converted? Here's a link: paizo.com - Pathfinder Adventure Path: Abomination Vaults (5e) Special Edition

Sly Flourish did a huge video series on Scarlet Citadel.

He liked it and he didn't.

Its complicated.

His overall thoughts were too many words per room in the book, one room [not a boss room] had 2 pages of text.

Dungeons of Drakkenheim. I have been DMing and it is early stages but I think it is really good.
I came here to name the same adventure. How is your campaign going? :)

I'm actually simultaneously DMing a campaign and playing it in another group. It's not an ideal situation, but we made it work. It truly is a remarkable campaign, and it supports different playing styles fairly well too.

GreyLord

Legend
Paths of Immortality doesn't get enough mention, though outside the PF1e circles I'm not sure how many are even aware of it.

Early Paizo after their WotC split had some of it's most awesome material.

Unafraid to try and do new things, and absolutely hitting homeruns while doing it.

There's probably 20 (or more) that I could list because there are a lot of good ones, but the difference between many of the well-made campaign comes down content preference.

In no particular order:

1. Kingmaker
2. Curse of the Crimson Throne (Paizo, PF1, but converting it is easy).
3. Call from the Deep
4. Crown of the Oathbreaker
5. Raiders of the Serpent Sea

Like Crimson Throne, there are a lot of PF1 APs that are really, really good, but I'd stay away from the PF2 APs as all but one (Abomination Vaults, maaaaybe 2, have been garbage.
