I had the opportunity to enjoy little things about the performances. Brie Larson and Sam Jackson really spark off of each other. Hell, everyone really sparks off each other. And Imam Vellani is even more of a joy the second time you watch.

Seems that she's even more of a joy to watch when press ask for her opinion on the poor performance of the film.

This movie isn't about the villain. Their choice with the villain is to keep focus on the things that the story is really about - the heroes and their relationships.

I did watch Unicorn Store. I'm sorry to say it is not a good movie. It's been a while since I saw it, so I can't point at specifics. But my lingering impression is that it never quite knows what it's doing. Still very enjoyable performances from Jackson and Larson.

Yeah but then Sam Jackson said in an interview that SI had to happen first and that the show and movie connect in interesting ways, and now it’s a bit unclear which one takes place first. I’m happy to wait till The Marvels is on Disney+ because then it will get added to their chronological order listing.

Maybe they altered Secret Invasion after the scheduling change, but nothing in it seems like it would follow on from The Marvels.

I think all that is just standard promotional hype about a movie. Almost every movie in a franchise is touted by its participants as a major piece of that franchise and the one the audience should not miss.
