It's quite complete reprint of the OD&D rules, along with historical material to contextualize the game. Like the Goodman Games OAR series combined wirh Play the World, but for the OD&D rules etc itself.

Yup, he is writing it, so it will be, at the least, a serious history.

Looks like it will also be a great doorstop and decent bludgeoning weapon, at over 500 pages.

I loved the White Box back in the 1970s and will love the warmth of nostalgia from this book.

That should be interesting. Here's to hoping David Wesley and Dave Arneson are given more attention than they normally receive in these kinds of things.
