D&D 5E Strength bows?

d12 ranged damage, with best range in game should come with the highest requirement in game(for normal humanoids)
Why? I don't recall 5E having any prerequisites higher than 15.

parenthetical means that every "15" requirement is actually 16 in reality, as no one has 15 score more than few levels, if any.
no one has any odd score if it can be helped. except 17 at 1st level as it is highest for standard array/point buy.
Maybe, and yet prerequisites in 5E are odd numbers. When I designed this, I tried to create something that meshed with the existing design of 5E.

If we were to implement this paradigm, a whole slew of martials would be Str15, Dex as-high-as-possible.
