OOC: Feather Fall came from Zephyros, and so is inaccessible now, I think.

Tranio has Persuasion and Deception (+6), but not really stealth (+2). I'm not sure splitting the party is a good idea in any case.

Legend
Aremus frowns, "If I can't get back down quickly, then it's probably best if I don't go up. We should get started on that parley flag then. Maybe Miros has some sheets we could use?"

The Banners: Fistan would recognize both of the banners being associated with different gods. Two of the banners have golden suns on white fields, representing Lathandar, a good lord of light. The other two are more obscure and feature thin black obelisks on a field of red. This is the sigil of Memnor the Deceiver, an evil god that has long been associated with giantkind. It is quite odd to see these two gods flown together.

Plan: "I'm sorry, Aremus. I shouldn't have taken this threat so lightly," The Abbot admits. "But perhaps there is still a way up? Don't forget, we share our home with many powerful druids. No doubt some of them could lend their pets, or even change form, and provide a means up? " The Abbot would turn to the party. "If you're all willing to take the risk that is."

"Yes! Thank-you, Abbot Darovik. We can fly up there. Please ask the druids to prepare mounts or the equivalent for... six, I believe." Aremus requests respectfully. Then he turns to the party with a bow, "If you would accompany me, we will prove our worth to the Abbot and the citizens of Goldenfields by presenting a diplomatic envoy to these giants. What say you?"

Dren groaned a bit. He did not look forward to getting on flying mounts. A dwarf’s place was on the earth! But this was something they were going to need to do, he guessed.

Death floats with the currents of the air, and Tranio is willing to go.

He turns to Miros, standing beside him in front of his tavern. A somber expression keeps his face still. ""You will get through this, though I regret that I did not know them. I am taking this commission," (he waves at the abbot) "and Goldenfields needs you. But you must do what you must. I hope we meet again in this life. You make good beer."

He turns, and confirms his intention to be part of the diplomatic party. "I can go."

Legend
Aremus, realised that Miros was there, and that (by the look on his face) he had been told the bad news. He nodded solemnly to his neighbour and said, "I am sorry for your loss. Perhaps the Tressym could tell you more about what happened to them. I am sure someone can help you two to communicate."

Aremus is surprised to find that Miros had not been told that Rillix survived.

OOC: Sorry if that was on purpose. I assume no one thought of it. Either way, Aremus is earnest and well-spoken, but he's not really very bright.

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
"I don't like the air. But we cannot do anything from here. But then again, they aren't attacking. Maybe they will negotiate? Or try to get the surrender? Guards, check the approaches to the town! Maybe they are waiting for ground troups!" Ordrar calls to the closest watchman. "They will pay for Nightstone! But if we can avoid combat above the town we probably should. Innocents and all." He comments to the group in quieter voice.
