Hey all,

The first three episodes of Star Wars: Andor season 2 are now available on Disney+! Starting a spoiler-filled discussion thread for the show. Haven't watched yet myself, though. Will update this post with my own once I have.

Episode 1: Jumps right in with Cassian stealing a prototype TIE from Sienar. It’s janky and, as Cassian says, there’s no manual. Nice to see someone struggling to fly a starship for once.

Nice to see Krennic back. Ben Mendelsohn is great as always.

Cassian runs into some complications getting back to Bix and co with a fractious bunch of stranded Rebels.

Episode 2: Syril and Dedra are living together. I think.

Tay is having problems and is threatening Mon. What he is threatening to do is unclear. Expose her? Stop funding her?

Looks like Cassian and those other Rebels were stranded on Yavin 4!

Episode 3: Syril’s mother is delightfully awful! The dinner scene is fantastic. Dedra certainly puts Eedy in her place!

Another Rakata reference!

I thought maybe Bix was lying to the lieutenant about having a husband, but now I think maybe Cassian and she got married. (Or are romantic partners at least.)

The reason Cassian was having trouble with the prototype TIE is because it wasn’t the one he thought he was stealing! That’s an interesting oopsie on the part of Kleya or whoever.

Vel is sad because she caught a glimpse of her lover, who is presumably taking Tay to be killed somewhere at Luthen’s order.

At first I was a little annoyed with Cassian's weird detainment, but the button at the end was quite fun.

I loved the Chandrillan wedding. Not how I expected things would go, sad to say, but that is one of the reasons I love this show, it surprises me in wonderful (and tragic) ways.

Andor continues to be amazing.

What was the Rakata reference?

Lots of lege ds references starring to wonder why burn iy down to begin with.

Slower paced than say Acolyte but faster than first 3 Andor S1 which were a bit boring.

Thought they did great ramping up the tension.
Apparently it has rave reviews or something similar from early screenings.

It's not the first adult orientated SW but it's well executed so far.

Rakata reference and.

Hmmmnnn

Missed it lol.

I know Rakata are in new Canon via references idk if they're like KotOR.
Yeah. I think Andor Season 1 made them canon. Luthen again. Something he said to Cassian, possibly relating to that kyber crystal.

I have to say, as I have been digesting this three-episode arc, I admit I wish they hadn't condensed multiple seasons into one. I feel like they could have spent more time building up to the stuff we saw in these three episodes (and continuing on from them) ... but now we're skipping ahead another year.

Yeah can't blame Disney for once. Actors and crew etc weren't interested in more afaik.
