Should I buy Diamond Throne?

Hello Arcana Unearthed/Evolved fans. I just recently gave my old copy of Arcana Unearthed to a friend and bought myself Arcana Evolved (but, sadly, I haven't had time to read it yet). I have never owned the Diamond Throne campaign setting book, but just today I saw it at a resale shop for half price. I hesitated to buy it, though, because I heard that much of the material in the Diamond Throne was reprinted and updated in Arcana Evolved.

So, here's my question: is it worth it to pay half price for the Diamond Throne if you already own Arcana Evolved?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I don't think it is really needed.

And I'm not just saying that so I can sneak over there tommorrow and pick it upmyself...honest....

There's more details in AE in the same chapters that were in Land of the Diamond Throne. (Dragons mainly, and details about the lands they rule.) That said, if a PC wants the worldbook, but doesn't want to shell for AE, it's a good deal.

I'd say don't buy it. You already have everything in that book. The only reason to consider it would be if you needed two copies of it for some reason (maybe a player needs a reference--but even then, it's most DM info anyway, so...)

Thanks to everyone for their responses. But special thanks to Monte for taking time out of his busy schedule to respond. That was really kind of you. If Monte says I don't need it, then I don't need it! :)

Warning: Shameless advertising ahead.

If, on the other hand, if anyone decides they do want a copy of The Diamond Throne--perhaps as a second setting sourcebook, or the like--it's one of the books I'm offering in my I'm Out of Shelf Space Sale. Assuming you're in the continental US, it's a mere $8. :) I own Arcana Evolved, and I've got no need for both, but if someone does, I'm happy to help them out.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled posts.

I've read through most of Arcana Evolved, and I own Diamond Throne- I think the only thing that Arcana Evolved doesn't have that is in Diamond Throne is the chapter on Magic Items, though Arcana Evolved might have that too. If it does, then there is no reason at all to buy Diamond Throne.

On the other hand, Mystic Secrets, Siege on Ebonring Keep, Plague of Dreams, and Legacy of the Dragons are all worth picking up...

It does. It's right before the spells.

And Mystic Secrets is definately worth picking up.
