Shadowdark Arcane Library Western Reaches KS

Man I misread that title and I thought Shadowdark was going to have a Western version, and it had reached Kickstarter lol. I having visions of a sort of fantasy Boot Hill, oh well!
There are a flurry of third party games in some stage of development using Shadowdark as a rules basis. I'm 99% sure at least one of the ones that's been promoted in the Facebook group is a Weird West game.

If I had to pick any one rpg product I'm most likely to purchase, it's a good hexcrawl. There's a couple good shadowdark specific ones that've been made, someone made a whole skyrim one. Adds extra skyrim stuff to shadowdark, and has a fully filled out hexcrawl.

I would love more zines, but unsure if I want all that extra stuff.

It will depend on how expensive they are.

At a bare minimum, I'll be backing for physical copies of the 3 new zines for sure.

My favorite sentence from the KS: "You don't have to memorize lore; you'll discover it as you go."

While I appreciate all the work most authors put into their lovingly-crafted settings, I tend to glaze over while reading pages of background and timelines and trying to keep all the characters and factions straight.

What I have always loved about Kelsey's work is that I don't have to memorize anything, and barely have to prepare.

On the other end, I'm hoping for a collectors version of the boxed set as well, and I'm just going to go stupid levels of all in as my early birthday/reward for the last year of work gift!

Genuinely, reading @darjr title, then seeing your reply not long later in the thread after I had posted... it was much needed humor I needed yesterday-- so thank you both! :giggle:

@Whizbang Dustyboots @darjr has there been chatter on the complete list of new classes? The other cursed scrolls added at least 2 each, and we know the ranger is there, and monk is listed (is that actually going to be the monk?) and I assume Bard, and a Knight.

Anything else from the Discord?

There was an Archer class mentioned as well. A mystic Archer? IDK. That would be fun to see done well (since the 5e version was such utter tripe).
