One city that I've seen get a lot of praise is Streets of Silver. I don't have it but it's supposed to be a Venice-y Renaissance era city. It is very detailed from what I've read.

Of cities that have been detailed in past editions, besides Greyhawk, Waterdeep stands out of course. Supposedly, a Waterdeep sourcebook is on the way sometime in 2005, but I havent heard anything on that for a while.

Oh, and I recommend Geanavue: Stones of Peace by Ed Greenwood, for the Kalamar setting. They've also put out an accompanying book Loona: Port of Intrigue, but I haven't got it yet.

I'd recommend the Grey Citadel (Dun Eamon) for a 3ed product. All time best for me is City State of the Invincible Overlord (JG version), which hopefully will come out soon in a 3.5 edition.

WOW! Thanks everyone. This place is a treasure trove of information; your knowledge of the game and products shines BIG TIME. I'll be looking for all these products for further research. Thanks again.

If it ever sees the light of day, Bard's Gate by Necromancer Games should be very, very good. I know they are working REALLY hard to get just right... (That and of course scheduling conflicts had made getting out a little tougher...)

But overall, Freeport and Bluffside are, in my view, the best d20 cities around.
