Oh em gee, or we could call them half-elves because they're half as good as any elf you'll ever play.

Problem solved, thread closed.

Sorta like the way your friends refer to you as a half-gamer?

Wow, Jester. Your campaign experiment sounds similar to mine. It's low magic, the elves have been extinct 1000 years, and pretty much everyone is a mixed breed. I also call them "elfbloods" (and orcbloods, dwarfdbloods, etc.)

The Sindarin word for "half" is apparently "per-" as a prefix or "perin" as an adjective, but unfortunately "halfling" is "perian". ;)

Maybe something like "perellon". Or in Quenya, "perequende" or something.

Man, who knows. I don't like Tolkien.

Using the Elven phrasebook in Races of the Wild, "-ess" or "-esti" is a suffix meaning elves or elven, so you could bastardise a word and say "peress" or "peresti", maybe.

:D I love Tolkien. The Sindarin word for half-elf is "peredhil", the dh pronounced th as in "thing".
(Teaching myself to speak Sindarin with David Salo's "A Gateway to Sindarin")

Generically they could just be referred to as halfbloods or halfbreeds. That could cover any other kind of racial mixes you allow in your campaign.
