Mystic Eye Games - The Deep

Does anyone know what is OGC and PI in this product?

Looking through my copy, it suggests that the information is located near the OGL, but I'll be a kobold if I can find it.

Anyone from MEG on EnWorld who can help?

Mystic Eye Games has been gone for a while now. I haven't seen Hal around here in years, but I'm not sure if he was the owner or who.

If I am not mistaken, Mystic Eye product rights were bought by the Highmoom/MonkeyGod group, right?

I thought they did some really good stuff.

Both Doug and Hal had some personal issues come up which meant they could no longer devote time to the company. In addition, sales dried up on the products especially when Osseum failed. I've got the rights to reprint The Hunt campaign setting along with developing the d20 Modern campaign setting, Fall of Man. Both are projects that have been sitting on the back burner for some time. Depending on how good Pathfinder sales are for our upcoming books will determine whether they get released.

In the (hard copy) book, its own title is given in section 15 of the OGL at the back, without any noted exceptions, terms, or whatever else.

It's a d20 book, not just OGL, which might mean something. Dunno. :hmm: As far as I can tell though, anyway, it should be 100% OGC. Unless they've hidden some additional terms or conditions elsewhere. . .

If I am not mistaken, Mystic Eye product rights were bought by the Highmoom/MonkeyGod group, right?.

They bought rights to some products, but not all. "The Deep" was not part of the deal, if memory serves.

What exactly happened to MEG? Was it the 3.0 to 3.5 transition that prompted its demise?

At one point, "The Deep" had to be rewritten as the change from 3.0 to 3.5 took a few beasties away and changed a few rules. I remember losing the kuo-toa from the SRD caused a bit of a wrinkle.
