D&D 5E Max Sorcery Points 109

If at level 20 you turn every spell slot you have into sorcery points that will give you a 109 sorcery points total (regaining sorcery points for having none not counted). Not the normal way to play a Sorceror granted. Now assuming you don't just turn them back into spells which would be wasteful, here is what you can do with those points. if your a shadow sorceror you can summon 36 Hounds of Ill Omen or Make yourself incorpreal 36 times. You can twin a cantrip 109 times or you can quicken a cantrip 36 times. I'm not sure why you'd do this, but its cool that you can.

Or, unless I misread this part, you can have 20 sorcery points. The line "You can never have more sorcery points than shown on the table for your level." Makes me suspicious that you can have 109 at once. Over the course of they day you can get there, but you do have to constantly summon dogs. I guess it's not the worst way to spend it.

Arrrrgggg how did I miss that part. You can still have 109 sorcery points, you just do it in smaller batches, not all at once.

Doesn't stop the never-sleeping Sorlock from accumulating infinite numbers of spell slots though, which he can convert into spell points as needed.

Er explain how that works please?

Step 1: Convert your warlock spell slots into sorcery points.
Step 2: Convert your sorcery points into sorcerer spell slots. (The rules on creating spell slots don't say anything about regaining slots; thus one can argue that you can gain slots above your regular limit this way.)
Step 3: Use a short rest to recover your warlock spell slots.
Step 4: Repeat.

Each pass through this cycle, you accumulate extra sorcerer spell slots. I'm not even sure "non-sleeping" is a requirement. There's no time limit on created spell slots that I can see.

I suppose if I were the DM and a player tried this, my response would be, "You don't get those warlock spell slots back after a short rest. You never really used them for magic, so they are still there. Just stored as a different sort of magical currency."

That might actually be interesting if you used some sort of sleep deprivation penalties. (I would tend to treat each night without sleep as an hour of forced march for purposes of exhaustion.) That crazy sorcerer/warlock wears himself out trying to store up a bunch of magical power, hoping he can stay functional long enough to make it to the situation he's storing it up for.
