I use magitech weapons in my World of Eska. I just make devices that cast attack cantrips.

The most famous example are the shocklances that the hobgoblin legions use. Pretty much just a staff of shocking grasp.

Yeah I prefer to keep them as martial mechanized weapon in which the components are activated by magical parts rather than weapons that grant spellcasting, if that makes sense.

Like, the steel bullet is projected from a gun by a lighting-rail powered by a magicite battery full of synthesized storm mana. The bullet and the guns arent really magical per se, but magick is used to power them; it is still cold-hard steel that hits you!
