Let's build a world together.

Basically, what the goal for this thread is making a Fantasy setting no crunch just fluff that can be used with D&D, but how we do it is via a Q&A format like for example:

Question 1 : What is the kingdom's primary means of trade
Answer 1: The kingdom mainly trades in gold mined from the mines of flairia

and so on.
use the following tags to help keep things a bit organized
[STG] for setting
[CIT] for a settlment
[KDG] for a kingdom
[NPC] for people

To get the ball rolling:

Castagar is a quasi-republic. Various principalities and city-states came together to form the Kingdom, and meet annually in a great witan, though Lord Degaunt still holds the most influence of these leaders.

What culture does Castagar boast?

Castagar boasts the best and most sought after singers and minstrels the world has seen since the Altarian age.

Castagar's primary rival is the Chomuvalon Empire.

Q5[KDG] : What is Castagar's primary industry?
Several. Mining and forestry in the hills and mountains to the north and west; wool-textile-cloth production in the east; fishing along the south coast; agriculture in the fertile heartland; moneychanging in the capital and the major cities on the coast; and trade in all directions.

(and yes, as a map wasn't provided the very first question asked should have forced someone to draw one!)

Q6[CIT] : What are the names of the capital city (central) and the two major cities on the south coast?
