Immovable rod in sword hilt? You have to read

Could you have a sword made with a immovable rod in the hilt. Immagine putting some sovereign glue on your,

Step back and watch the main bad guy of the quest go bye bye. Stuck to your sword taking flamming frost corrosive shock and wounding damage every round. Would it work like that? Or when the great red Dragon swallowed you and took flight. Imagine the look on its face when you set your 3 and half foot broad sword upright and made it immovable. Ouch!!!Let me know If you have any other cool weapon combas.

You seem to imply your opponent would somehow be impaled on your sword, how do you make this happen ? Even if you could, why wouldn't he just move away from the sword ? After all, the weapon is immovable, the opponent is not.

I think it's completely plausible to have an immovable rod built into your sword hilt, though.

Well, if you impale your opponent by starting low and thrusting upward, he'd have a hard time getting himself of the blade...
