That was also the case in Star Frontiers Yazirian called themselves Hadozee, from the planet YazirGrey aliens from the Alternity RPG.
The Hadozee are basically Yazirians from Star Frontiers.

So, on this new book, their homeworld is called out as Yazir. That was also the case in Star Frontiers Yazirian called themselves Hadozee, from the planet Yazir
That would EXPLAIN why the Hadozee, in 3.5, don't remember where their home is exactly. They come straight up from another planet in/past Realmspace.Anyone else catch that the hadozee come from the planet Yazir?
why would you need a half grey at any point in the history of the world?
Yeah, WotC seem to be directly linking Star Frontiers to the new Spelljammer, which along with other notes suggest that Spelljammer is being presented with a lot more sci-fi trappings than previous versions did.So, on this new book, their homeworld is called out as Yazir.
that in no way counters my point, in fact, it bolsters it as it means being less like that rotten carcass of a show."Ancient Aliens" The Star Children (TV Episode 2014) - Plot - IMDb

There was a GURPS Humanx Commonwealth supplement and a Flinx adventure. Never picked them up when I had a chance to do so (to my regret) because I didn't play GURPS.I'm almost positive the aliens from Icerigger appeared in a GURPS supplement.
Same reason we have anything in games: Someone came up with an idea that those in charge liked and they ran with it.why would you need a half grey at any point in the history of the world?
As someone who’s an avid reader of science fantasy, you should try reading some.I dont believe in "science fantasy".
I see no meaningful difference between "advanced scientific speculation" and "mythic tropes". Protoscience is emergent science.
All of it is science fiction.
To be kind, it is all "speculative fiction".
