O.K., and for the poor residents in France, like me, where (I think) Farscape hasn't been released...

What is Farscape (I suppose it's a TV sci-fi series)?
Where can I find mor einfo?
Are ther any website with info, photos and so on?

farscape is indeed a sci-fi show, appearing for the last 4 years on the sci-fi channel (U.S.). it was slow getting started, but actually has turned into a pretty good show. it involves an earth-man sucked through a wormhole who then finds himself aboard a ship with some interesting characters. his goal throughout the show is to go home, and he is being chased by a madman who wants to know all about wormholes.

the show, i think, is about to end. the last four episodes are appearing very soon.

i think you can go to the sci-fi channel's website for more info.

Actually only Season 3 is about to end. The show itself has been picked up for at least two more seasons.

This Friday is the first of the last 4 episodes of season 3.

And to wheel this beast back on target, did we ever get a firm date when the game is to be released? I've been waiting since last GenCon!

my wife will be glad to hear it - she's more of a fan than me. the way sci-fi makes it sound on the ads, the "final four" episodes will soon be airing...i wasn't the only one who had the impression that it was leaving the air after those episodes.

will there be cast changes for next season?

i hope sci-fi doesn't jerk the show around. i think they have a tendency to do that....witness "good vs. evil", a great show that was mismanaged by sci-fi/USA until it was cancelled for...."the invisible man"(!?).

Well, I haven't seen any pigs with wings nor treaties signed in the Mideast so I can't really tell you when the official release date is going to be yet.

The book has been finished for nearly 6-9 months now. We've been waiting for approvals from our licensor and expect something soon. We do however, have a target date for release by Origins 2002.

FYI, rumor in the office is that if it doesn't actually release by then, half of us aren't going to Origins in fear of a mob lynching.

Hope that helps.

Some comments...

Gahh... I just can't let these comments go without replying...

I'm only replying because I used to be a Farscape fan during the early seasons while it was still science fiction and not science porn.

To which I ask, "What kind of a 17th century prude are you?"

To be sure, the show tackles "adult relationships", but...

A.) It doesn't even rank as soft porn in my book. This is the show that replaces my favorite swear words with "frell" and "dren" after all. It's tasteful enough that I would let my kids watch it, assuming I had kids.

B.) It's at least realistic (relationship-wise), and doesn't force the issue of trying to be "sexy". Unlike certain sci-fi shows on UPN, which invent a decontamination chamber, forcing the nubile young cast members to strip down and apply lotion to each other.

While I totally dig "G vs. E", I also totally dug "Invisible Man". Did you at least give it a chance? Very, very, funny show. The premise itself rocks: an ultra low budget government agency working undercover as the Department of Fish & Game, with a few ultra high-tech resources (such as a man who can turn invisible) at their disposal.

Corporate Dog

PS for Stannis: Assuming there are no cast members killed off in the upcoming four episodes (Farscape likes to do that after all) then the entire cast has signed on for the next two seasons.

I can't believe I'm actually replying to an ad hom.

In the early seasons there was sexual innuendo and even a blatant sexual reference every so often. In the latter seasons it's nothing but blatant sexual references at least 3-4 times an episode.

Now, I have watched some of the latter episodes, and even liked some but inbetween there are about 10-15 that disgust me in the interim.

Deals with relationships realistically? Ha! Every one eventually gets someone . . . doesn't sound very realistic to me. I liked Zhaan in the beginning because she felt like I do about obsession with sex - it's disgusting, yet it's all the producers do with Farscape these days.

G vs. E WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!! Heavenly reward points, Morlock killin knives, uncooked pork, afros, ORANGE VOLVO WAGONS!

Farscape may be a great show, but the one question i got to ask is: Where's the G vs. E roleplaying game!

Molock killin knives, soacked in the blood of innocents.

Don't worry it's nobody you know!
