Fantasy Toys - what do you have?

Some of the clone brands might be good for gaming as well, and cheaper - MegaBloks has some figures that look very orcish, for example.

I'm not that happy with the Megablock mini figures. I picked up a couple Megablock Dragons when they were on sale for $5 at K-mart, and the figures that came with them just don't do it for me. They certainly work as knights and orcs, but they are definitly a big step down from Lego. The dragon is nice, although a bit too big for use on a battlemat.

I am thinking that when I get a job, I might actually start feeding the beast even more by completely delving into the collectable figure craze. Oh well.
{yoda voice} Once you begin walking on the
Dark Side of Figure Collecting, forever will it dominate your destiny.{/yoda voice} ;)

Heh....where to begin....

I have various dragons from MANY toy sources to use.

I have many "real" looking animals that are large to Huge from X-Men and other toy figures. (where else can you get a giant white owl for Eberron?)

I use Yu-gi-oh figures some

In my infamous "Adventurers" dnd meets comic books that I run at Cons sometimes I use a Jurassic Park III figure for "The Giant (Giant man aka Henry Pym)

Star Wars has some neat creatures I use

Slag and others from comic book super heroes are fun.

I have Hero Clix which are extrekely useful in DnD and D20 Modern

Various plastic dinos

plastic glow in dark vermin ( special fiendish template series)

PVCs from movies. I have about a dozen of the main bad guy from the latest Camelot animated from a few years back. I use them for Fire Giants or royal guards in Darksun (1/2 Giants)

Misc things I find from Legos to Kay-bee 3 for 10.00 bins.

Much goodness.
Scanner down and room is a wreck but I'ld show photos of room. Room is 15x30. Most of the ceiling meets wall space is a single long shelf for action figures and the such.

Oh- I almost forgot. (and the look on the players' faces) I used an empiral Walker for the main invasion creature with the Incursion adventure awhile ago. THAT had players worried.

Bah, Lego castles? I much prefer my collection of the old Exin Castillos!

(Not a picture of my own stuff, sadly!)

Here's a spanish fansite (sorry, it's in spanish. You can all look at the pictures, though.)

Exin Castillo was a spanish toy, but I know it was sold in other parts of europe as well, and maybe in the US, as Exin Castles. Evidently it is now manufactured again, after a long hiatus. All my stuff is old from when I was a kid in Spain in the 70's.

Most of the time mine is packed down, but one of these days I'm going to build a nice terrain for my D&D CMs, maybe as a special scenario for my players! I did build a large castle some years ago to play a miniature wargame in.

Henrix,

Shame that's not your own Exin castle, because it's really cool.

I did consider getting an Exin castle set years ago but unfortunately I was skint back then and couldn't really afford it. I have a vague feeling that I was in the US at the time, so I think Exin was available in the new world as well as the old.

Maybe, I'll look into getting some. Do you know anywhere in Spain that sells it online with reasonable postage rates within the EU?

When my wife found out that she was pregnant, we started buying tons of those "Imaginext" fantasy toys. Our daughter is now nine months old and has never seen them. But I don't mind. Her mother is a gamer, so I don't doubt that there's still hope for little Kaitlyn Hosanna.

As for toys from my childhood, I still have my old Transformers, G.I. Joes and He-Man figures.

Fantasy Stuffed Animals

I collect stuffed dragons, unicorns, and other stuffed animals (like grey cats, cause my real kittie is grey). I don't just buy any fantasy plushes though, I only buy what I like. The list isn't long:

2 Beanie Baby dragons
1 Beanie Buddy dragon
1 Puffkin unicorn
1 Manhatten Toys small dragon
Scabbers plush (from Harry Potter)
Puss in Boots plush keychain (from Shrek 2)

next to get- new Beanie Baby dragon

It's not a big collection, but they good standing around with all my books. :)

Yeah, I couldn't really build that big a castle.

Afraid not, I only just realized that they were being produced again. I saw a place that sold them, one here in sweden.
