Faeries, Pixies, and Sprites?

Dragonhelm

Knight of Solamnia
I was looking through my 4e Monster Manual books, and I didn't see any faeires, pixies, sprites, etc. Do they exist in 4e format yet?

There's an Umbral Sprite Swarm in the MM2.

Nothing else popped up when I did a search in the compendium with a few different spellings.

Faerie Dragons might not be too far off from what I recall fighting them. You could probably model Will o Wisps or Harpies as different types of Fey reasonably. Clay Scouts totally could be. Spiretop Drakes and Imps.

If it helps, I've got this old thing from last June for a wind sprite:

They are not evil (yet) and wont usually be fought, so they are not needed in 4E.

So looks like you have to make them by yourself.

Under the MM2 entry for the Umbral Sprite Swarm it is said that sprites are as common in the Feywild as birds in the world.

There are two philosophies in 4e that I don't agree with, even though I really dig the system. First is the idea that you won't fight good monsters. There's all sorts of reasons to, and you never know when one might become an ally.

Second, though, is the ever-expanding core. To me, faeries, pixies, sprites, etc. are all core monsters. They should be available for the DM to use right up, instead of spread out over multiple books. I see it from an economic standpoint on their end, but I feel like I have an incomplete tool set.

Sounds a little like how pixies are treated in the Dresden Files. Where, for example, an army has flocked to the banner of the Za Lord, who bountifully supplies a pizza a week to his followers or somesuch.
