Experience Table Award for Epic PCs?

Now all the PCs in my current 3.5e campaign hit their 20th-level. And at least some of them likely to hit 21st-level next month.

So, I need the rules for awarding Xp to epic level characters. But neither 3.5e DMG nor SRD have XP tables for Epic characters.

I have 3.0e Epic Level Handbook. Shall I use the table in the book? I am not sure if XP table of 3.0e and 3.5e are identical.

The XP required per level is on a reasonably simple formula...

The total XP needed to attain a given level can be described by the formula:

L x (L-1) x 500

Where L is the new level to be attained. Level 1 is a special case, in that it is always fixed at zero XP.

Sorry for my poor description.

What I wanted to know was, say, how much XPs a 21st-level PC in a 7-men party gains when he defeated a CR 23 critter, and such.

Table 2-6 in DMG p38 has a footnote explaining how to handle this case.

a quick check shows me the XP per CR reward table in the 3.0 DMG is identical to the 3.5 DMG.

there's no reason to believe the epic XP per CR reward table should have changed from 3.0 to 3.5. In addition, there's no reference to the table in the epic level update booklet either.

So yeah, I'd use the 3.0 Epic Level XP award table if I were you.

@Ashtagon: That footnote only applies to higher CR monsters vs pre-Epic PC's.
