Enterprise renewed for 4th season

It would follow the zany adventures of Tucker, Reed, Phlox and Porthos as they travel from one spaceport to another righting wrongs and dazzling dames.

Kinda like a Star Trek meets A-Team type of thing.

But VCRs and reruns don't show up on Nielsens, though, right?
Reruns do - Neilson Ratings record what is watched. Don't know about VCR's, but I would hope that they've adjusted to account for them as well.

At any rate, if the primary concern is long-term syndication profits then the actual ratings for season four aren't as important.

Great news, but I'm not keen on having everything on a Friday night that I watch: Monk, Stargate (and I guess Atlantis on same nite), JAG, and now Enterprise. I'll need 2 VCRs, 2 TVs, and 2 brains!

"In 2154, a starship crew's entire race was annihilated for a future crime they will never commit. They promptly escaped from their starship's destruction to the Orion underground. Today, still wanted by the Xindi they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the ENT-team!"

LOL!! I can so hear the military march theme playing behind that. :)

As for ENT being renewed: Great. Not enough genre shows as it is. But I say forget Friday nights and nights in general. Put Trek back on the weekends and sydicate it. It would show on Saturdays and Sundays and maybe even more than once on those days depending on your area. I miss those days...

Various rating methods try to capture VCR, Tivo, etc. numbers. The networks usually don't give them very much weight because advertisers assume people who tape a show tend to skip the commercials.

While I agree the show has dragged a bit here and there, most of this season has been pretty solidly good in my book (time travel episodes mostly an exception to that statement).

I'm very happy it was renewed, though I agree Friday is a nasty slot. TIVO is the only answer. TIVO people. If you do not have one, what is wrong with you? Hellloooo...21st century here.

Doesn't really matter in my area. The UPN station switched to CBS, and the CBS station changed to local. The UPN shows are shown on the FOX station from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. So basically, its in syndacation early.
