When I noted the authors of the book, I took it a little more seriously and gave it a closer look. It offers 432 pages for a little under 14 bucks, not bad.

I'm tempted. Really tempted.

Tempted, heck. I'm buying it.
 

When your player asks (for the umpteenth time) if he can move, attack, and then "shift five" in one round, you can hand it to him and say, "Here. This is for you."

Anywhere else, it is $19.95 US.
 

I think it is a clever idea, really. Though it would have been much more useful back about 20 years ago when people had a lot of questions about the roots with devil worship and suicide.

I hope the book is more about the game than about the misconceptions about D&D.

This has been discussed a lot recently.
The thread you link does not mention Dummies in the thread title.

There have been at least 2 other threads about this that have dropped way off the first page. One started in Feb., the other last October. But it's not like topics are never revisited here on EN World. Not everyone has the search function.
