Dodge feat: can I take it multiple times?

Well, here´s my message´s background:

DODGE [General]
You are adept at dodging blows.
Prerequisite: Dex 13+.
Benefit: During your action, you designate an opponent and receive a +1 dodge bonus to Armor Class against attacks from that opponent. You can select a new opponent on any action.
Note: A condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses. Also, dodge bonuses (such as this one and a dwarf’s racial bonus to dodge giants) stack with each other, unlike most other types of bonuses.

I want to create a character who uses a katana, and no shield.
One thing bothered me: I don't think a person armed with a katana must be much more vulnerable to attacks, since it can use the sword to block attacks, and dodge the other ones.

So I thought about the Dodge feat: +1 dodge bonus to my AC. But I realized it´s not enough to protect my PC. Can I take the Dodge feat multiple times, each one stacking?

If the answer is positive, I have another one:

If I have, hipoteticaly, taken the dodge feat 5 times, so having a +5 bonus to AC, And I am fighting against two orcs, Can I choose to have a +2 dodge bonus against orc A, and +3 against orc B?

I hope I made myself clear!

No. Only the feats which are asterisked in Table 5-1 (PH p. 79) may be taken multiple times, and Dodge is not one of them. You might consider the Expertise feat instead (or in addition).

Another silly rule of the game.

As if being at level 18 with the Dodge feat 7 times, bumping your AC against one opponent by 7 or splitting the 7 up against multiple opponents and giving up all of your feats to do that is unbalanced.

Sigh. :)

Talk to your DM and see if he would allow it.

Well I think it´s really stupid: anyone can make a prestige class, add a arbitrary " +1 dodge bonus every two levels", but i have to house rule to make a person who are very dedicated( since I would spend a mountain of feats just to have decent Ac bonus, that work only for one enemy and can be denied by a lot of factors) to get out of the enemies´sword way.

Sad.

I think it goes against the very nature of the dodge bonus: I can stack dodge bonuses, but can´t become a batter dodger, unless by class abilities.

Well, I know it´s not the right place but:

Any problem with game balance, etc, in making a the dodge feat able to be taken multiple times?

Again, I hope I made myself clear. And thanks those who answered my question so quick!

Take Expertise. That's what it's for.

With both Expertise and Dodge, you can get +6 to your AC at a cost of two feats.

If your DM allows the Improved Expertise from Oriental Adventures, you won't have the +5 AC limit that normal Expertise has.

I will, but it dont solve the problem: I dont want to sacrifice my Attack bonus, because I will need it to disarm my opponents( and to hit them)

What I want is to simulate an agile two handed sword user. If I use expertise, he will lose so much efficience.

Allow the defensive special abilities of the Duelist PrC to be taken as feats. Or, simply take the Duelist PrC when you qualify for it.

OR, simply create a new feat chain up from Dodge: Improved Dodge, Superior Dodge, Masterful Dodge, Supreme Dodge.... Supreme Epic Dodge, etc.

Life wasn't meant to be easy.

In D&D, you are supposed to wear armor or else find magical/supernatural replacement.

Options;

1-You could revise your concept and wear very light armor such as leather armor. With a very high dex, the leather armor provides enough protection to survive and will scale with levels as you can enchant it.

2-Take a cue from the monk and get bracers of armor.

3-Take a level from the monk! One level in monk could help if you invest some points in wisdom. It would even grant you some basic hand to hand knowledge and a bunch of skills that are no brainer for an agile warrior such as tumble.

4-There is a feat in FR that grants 2 point bonus to armor when fighting with two swords.

5-You could become a fighter/sorcerer(wizard). I've seen it work very well in one of my campaigns. The PC used a spiked chain but aside from that he had the same protection problem and solved them through using a lot of spells to boost his defense (and not just that). Cat's grace, Mage armor and Haste combine nicely at low level for that purpose.

6-Design new feat; touchier.

7-Design a variant on the Duelist prestige class.
