D&D 5E DMG SPELL SCROLL vs SCROLL OF PROTECTION ?

The DMG says a SPELL SCROLL can only be used by those who know the magic, and have the rules to do so. But the book has SCROLL OF PROTECTION, that says nothing.

What is the difference between the two? A Warrior can use this SCROLL OF PROTECTION?

I'm pretty sure the answer to the second question is "yes, a warrior can use a scroll of protection."

I think everyone can use a scroll of protection. So that's the answer to your first question - the difference between the two is that a scroll of protection can be used by anybody.

...but the rules of SPELL SCROLL where a warrior can not use, apply or not to SCROLL OF PROTECTION?

A spell scroll is a scroll that contains a spell (one of the spells listed in the Player's Handbook).

A protection scroll does not contain a spell. Its magic is different, and follows different rules.

A scroll of protection is a magic item that contains magical power which anyone who can read a language can activate. It does not store a spell.

It's... you know how in a lot of manga, there are these pieces of paper with Japanese writing on them that can be applied/burned to have an effect, even by someone with no magical power? A scroll of protection is like that.

Spell scrolls, on the other hand, store a spell. This spell is written in a magical cipher, which is why fighters can't use it.

@maritimo80;6505670, could you calm down with the CAPS in your thread titles, please? Thanks.

Spell Scroll you read (language) and a Spell Scroll you have to decipher (cipher) to cast the spell, Fighters can not decipher but they can read

In AD&D, the protection scroll could be used by anyone. The 5th Edition writer(s) might have intended to say this, or not. They neglected to say, so you have to decide for yourself.
