Custom Gaming Table Suggestions?

My friend and I are undergoing the prices to build a custom gaming table for our D&D 5e Table. The only 8ft folding table is super tight as fas as depth and too long for length so we will probably go with a 4'X6' table with custom features. We are trying to best gauge what is simple and would be super accommodating for our players. We plan on installing:Cup Holders (for those much needed ales)Dice bins an electrical/usb outlet on each side of the table.and removable/folding legs for storage when not being used.Any additions to what we should do that is not over the top?

If I were making a table I'd make a slightly recessed area about 1/4" deep & the size of my battlemat. I'd fasten the mat inside it (tacks at corners) & then add a plexiglass pane over top.
That way I could just draw right on the table. But I could change the
Mat out if needed.

Ooh, maybe make it so you can take the walls around the recessed area off. That way, nothing can get stuck in the edges of the table, like cards, coins or pieces of cardboard.

The big battlemat I have is 34 x 48, if I added 11" around for a piece of paper plus an additional 2" of border, then I would say, at minimum you want 60" x 74" but that woul be pretty tight as well if you had a big battlemat and you needed all of its surface. On the DM side (usually a short side) you want a bit more depth, say another 11", so that pushes it to 60" x 85" so 5' by 7'. Much wider and you really can't reach the center of the table easily. That said, I have a dinner table that is 4.5' x 4.5' that's perfect for a smaller mat (26" x 23.5") as long as I (as DM) have a tray table for extra stuff.

If there is a derelict school nearby you might consider using a chalk board as the top of the table. Easy to draw maps on and clean off afterwards.
