D&D 5E Commander's Strike and Haste action

Very straightforward question. You're a battlemaster fighter with the Commander's Strike maneuver. "When you take the Attack
action on your turn, you can forgo one of your attacks and use a bonus action to direct one of your companions to strike."

You have Haste act on you, which grants "[target] gains an additional action on each of its turns. That aclion can be used only lo lake the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object aclion."

Which is more specific and therefore takes precedent - does Haste require that one attack from your Attack action be a weapon attack, or does the Commander's Strike allow you to forgo that attack and direct a companion to strike?

While Haste does require one weapon attack with the Attack action it grants (meaning you technically can't grapple, shove, or- disappointingly- Radiant Sun Bolt with it), you can still forgo that attack to Commander's Strike.

Forgo attack. Use bonus action to direct another. Use second haste action and attack with it. No contradiction between them.
Like a good fighter it dodges the question. This doesn't work if your main action was not an Attack action (or one of the others allowed by Haste). Can I get your answer on the question asked?

Commander's Strike requires an attack action. You can use the extra action granted by Haste to take an attack action. Ergo you can use the extra action granted by haste to use Commanders Strike. You can use your normal action to attack, and therefore keep your extra attacks.

Hypothetically, you could choose to use Commanders Strike twice on the same turn if hasted.

No you could not. You don't have two bonus actions.
Ah, true that.

It's pretty much a difference that makes no difference then. Whatever way you wash it you give up one attack and a bonus action to use the ability.

I guess you could use your regular action to do something other than attack that isn't available for the haste action (such as Dodge or cast a spell) and still use the ability.

...and I imagine that is why it is asked. It isn't too rare to add 4 or 5 levels of fighter as part of a gish build.
