Greyhawk is the 'sample setting' provided in the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide, and it is illustrated with a massive hex map by the awesome Mike Schley.
Yes, unsurprisingly, they dropped all this names.no norepinephrine Nomads, Rovers, or Barbarians. Very nice.
That's cool. Nice sleuthing. What is interesting to note is that the map has at least 7 named Dungeon locations (as well as a number of unnamed "Ruins" for a DM tondecelop), including 3 already published for 5E, and 4...that have not been:
- White Plume Mountain
- Tomb of Horrors
- Loat Caverns of Taojcanth
- Temple of Elemental Evil
- Maure Castle
- Ghost Tower of Iverness
Eh, it looks like it's in an adjacent, hex, right? So still within a day's travel, I expect is still the intent.Aaaand...
- Castle Greyhawk, seperate from the Free City by a bit.
True, but, it is noted separately on the map...which is suggestive. That's cool. Nice sleuthing.

CASTLE GREYHAWK CONFIRMED!!!True, but, it is noted separately on the map...which is suggestive.
We know Greyhawk is getting level of detail as a Setting, and we know from the YouTuver previews that the Gree City is getting some special zoom-in detail...CASTLE GREYHAWK CONFIRMED!!!![]()
Iirc, Thunder Rift is on Mystara, not Oerth.Orlane’s official placement is in northern Gran March, north of Rushmoors. I’m not aware of canonical placement of Thunder Rift.
That was my understanding as well.Iirc, Thunder Rift is on Mystara, not Oerth.
