Casting and singing can it be done?

The rules really don't say. Our group has always played that you can't do this. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that you could not cast spells while using your bardic ability...but I can't find it now...

I'd vote no.

Normally you can't cast spells at all while singing, although I think I would allow (albeit completely as a House Rule) to work when the spell is Silenced or Stilled (depending on whether your Bard sings or plays an instrument)

So, it states specifically that Bard's CAN NOT cast spells and use their bardic special ability...

Then the it also specifically states that Bard's spells can not be silenced...

It's pretty clear...twice stated in fact...

Anything else would be a house rule.

Some Bard songs have lingering effects, so they don't end right when you cast the spell. So, you can cast a few spells and then use another start up the Bardic Music again before the first one goes away.

Well I did mention that it would be a House Rule to allow it. And the original message asked if you could if you had Wizard levels. The Silenced spells would have to be from Wizard levels.

I don't see why you couldn't. Especially if the spell was silenced or had no V component. Also, remember that some perform types do not use the voice; in that case I would rule you don't need to 'silence' the spell.
