Same here. In fact, until reading this thread it never even occurred to me to say it that way.I have never said nor even heard someone say it "beck me."
I think I used to spell it out/pronounce it the same way as you when I was a kid and teenager, which supports your recollection from back in the day.Anyway, I heard The Rules Lawyer say today that he pronounced BECMI as "Beck-me". I've always said "B, E , C, M, I" saying each letter. That's how I remember it when it came out.
