Barbarian Rage boosting item

Anyone know of an item that grants a barbarian extra rages per day or that extends the duration of a barbarian's rage? Is there any similar item?

If not, anyone have a clue how such an item could be priced?

In general, a feat with no prereqs should be 5-10K. So I'd put 2 extra rages at 10K.

Longer? I'd go with the CON bonus as a basis. You'd get +3 rounds for a +6 CON (36,000). I'd say +3 rounds should be a small fraction of that. So maybe 4,000 for +3, 12,000 for +5 rounds? This assumes slotted items...

I'd charge at least 18K for both in an item.

Of course something that grants X extra rages as a charged object could be cool. And having some (unknown to the player?) drawbacks of using it too much (additiction, fatigue, etc.) could be fun. But I like wacky items.

Good insight Brehobit. Thanks!

With the number of supplements that WotC has put out over the past six years, I always have trouble believing that every PC class ability doesn't already have an item (and a feat) designed to boost it buried in some book somewhere. :p

A potion of bear's endurance gives you two more rounds of rage for a mere 300gp. Bargain! There are Complete Warrior feats that give you extra rages or extended rages. If you want those without burning feats on them, get yourself a wish or two.

A con-boosting item will make your rage last longer.

For an item that makes your rages longer or more plentiful - 10k. As per the ol' Arms and Equipment Guide in the sidebar concerning items that grant feats. Simple version would be an item (shirt, vest, bracers, belt, or gauntlets would be appropriate slots) that grants either the Extra Rage (+2 rage/day), or Extended Rage (+5 rounds to rage duration) feat. Neither feat has any pre-reqs other than the ability to rage, so you get to avoid any additional cost iterations, also as per the aformentioned sidebar. There'd be no cost reduction for class restriction because no other class would really be able to use it anyway.

10k for an appropriate slot, 15k for an inappropriate one.

There's a spell in the Spell Compendium called Blood Frenzy. It's a druid 2 spell which, when cast on a character with the rage ability, puts them into a rage which doesn't count against their allotted amount. Get a druid in the party with a wand of these, and you can go mad. Or otherwise the party rogue and UMD.

I have created a "microartifact" fullblade intended for the barbarian player that included the following special ability:
• You can affect yourself with enlarge person a number of times per day equal to the number of times that you can fly into a rage per day. You may activate this power as a swift action as part of using your Rage ability, but the duration will last only as long as your fit of rage does. If you have the Greater Rage class ability, you may increase two size categories with this enlarge person power. If you have the Mighty Rage class ability, you may increase three size categories with this power.
I have no idea how much this would be worth in gp.

This is going to get out of hand quickly. You'll see what I mean around level 11.

A lot

Let's see here... Giant Size is a 7th level spell and the caster level is scaling, ending up at somewhere in the 16th-18th level range, it's several times per day, and it's quickened.

Ah, yeah. That'll cost you.
